The Parish

The Anglican Parish of Berridale and Snowy Mountains is geographically one of the largest in the diocese, covering around 6000 square kilometres. There are five centres: All Saints, Berridale; St Andrews, Jindabyne;  St James, Boloco; St Mary the Virgin, Gegedzerick and St Andrews, Maffra. We also hold weekly services at the Perisher Alpine Chapel during the winter months, and participate in Ecumenical services at the Thredbo Chapel at Easter and Christmas. 
The Thredbo chapel is also an immensely popular venue for weddings in the parish.  See "Weddings" link. 

Areas we minister to include Berridale, Boloco, Bungarby, Dalgety, Eaglehawk, Gegedzerick, Jindabyne, Maffra, Middlingbank, Numbla Vale, Perisher Valley, Round Plain and Thredbo.

The parish also provides chaplaincy to Perisher and Thredbo ski resorts and Snowy Mountains Grammar School as well as coordinating religious education in the region's four schools.

Ski Chaplaincy

Parish ski chaplain Rev'd Lloyd Bennett  is on call by the resorts during the winter months.  The chaplain provides pastoral care to staff and guests, and are on call in case of critical incidents.  The chaplain is trained in Critical Incident Stress Management and is available for assistance, critical incident debriefing and counselling when required.
